Location: Bergey's Corporate Office-Souderton, PA

The Safety Director is responsible for ensuring the safety of the workplace. The director accomplishes that by coordinating, administering and implementing comprehensive training programs in occupational, industrial and environmental safety and will respond to reported accidents to evaluate current best practices and recommend changes where necessary.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

* Assists, plans and implements safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal rules and regulations including Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Department of Transportation (DOT).

* Plans and implements training for employees in work site safety practices.

* Maintains safety files and records

* Conducts Monthly Corporate Safety Committee Meetings

* Insurance Renewals - Site Visits with Carriers

* Maintain Security Systems (Alarms / Cameras)

* Performs safety surveys and inspections, prepares written reports of findings and recommendations for corrective or preventive measures where indicated and follows up to ensure measures have been implemented.

* Conducts post-accident investigation and prepares report identifying possible accident causes and hazards for use by company personnel and senior management.

* Assist, set up and conducts training.

* Assists in the development, evaluation and upgrading of safety programs.

* Keeps up to date in OSHA, MSHA and DOT regulatory requirements.

* Excellent Computer, communication and training skills

* Any other tasks assigned by manager

Requirements:

* Valid Driver's License

* Successful completion of pre-employment background checks and drug screening
