Job DescriptionJob Summary: This internship offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in occupational safety within the egg manufacturing sector. The intern will work closely with the safety team to support various initiatives aimed at promoting a safe work environment for all employees. Essential Functions:
- Students will be working in a collaborative, cross-functional, geographically diverse team
- Assist with conducting hazard assessments for processes and equipment
- Assist with auditing and evaluating workplace environments, equipment, and practices for safety hazards
- Assist in the design and implementation of workplace processes including engineering controls and procedures that help protect workers from potentially hazardous work conditions
- Under close supervision, provide training and feedback to improve overall knowledge of EHS activities
- Perform recordkeeping functions
- Participate in accident investigations to identify cause(s) and corrective actions.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, or a related
- Strong analytical and problem-solving
- Excellent communication and interpersonal
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented
- A genuine interest in workplace safety and promoting a safety culture
