Overview
This is a Summer 2025 Position. Provide safety knowledge, administrative support, and expertise where needed.
Responsibilities
* Maintain OSHA compliance
* Update required safety programs (LOTO, confined space, etc.)
* Conduct site audits
* Follow up with management to complete deficiencies
* Participate in compliance requests and activities pertaining to the division
* Provide reports and be a resource to management and employees
* Update Job Safety Analyses (JSA)
* Assist in hands on training including
* New hire orientation
* Fire extinguisher training
* First responder training
* Other projects as assigned
Qualifications
* Candidate should be enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in a safety related major
* Must have completed at least freshman year
* Preferred GPA of at least 2.7
* Must be willing to conduct safety audits in an industrial setting
* Must have knowledge of OSHA standards for general industry
* Must be highly organized and have a strong ability to multitask
* Exceptional communication skills
* Strong analytical and issue identification, prioritization and resolution skills
* Ability to work successfully both independently and as part of a team
* Must be able to act objectively and within the strictest environment of confidentiality
* Must be highly proficient with PC applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
