Job Description: AriensCo, a global leader in outdoor power equipment, is now hiring a Safety/EHS Leader for our manufacturing facility in Fayetteville, TN.   • Implement, support, and continuously improve a behavioral-based Safety culture
  • Develop and build the Safety teams to be highly involved in the continuous improvement of Safety programs and activities
  • Support and teach through the process of incident investigations to determine root cause and short/long term countermeasures
  • Partner with company leadership and team members to identify opportunities and implement solutions to enhance Safety
  • Develop, implement and maintain safety programs to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and training requirements
  • Maintain knowledge of OSHA regulations
  • Plan and implement Safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations
  • Develop and facilitate training on various Safety related topics
  • Perform safety observations and inspect facilities, machinery, and safety equipment to identify and correct potential hazards, and to ensure safety regulation compliance
  • Implement preventive measures and assist with return-to-work activities
  • Provide technical advice, coaching, guidance, and mentoring to employees on safety initiatives and necessary changes
  • Order and maintain facility safety inventory including supplies and equipment
  • Understand the difference between acute and ergonomic injuries and develop activities and awareness to prevent both
  • Influence and teach teams to understand the importance of and to be effective at 6S
  • Serve as back up for managing and submitting the OSHA 300 log annually
  • Represent the organization in community or industry Safety groups and programs
  • Perform other duties as assigned
THE QUALIFICATIONS...
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in safety leadership, safety team involvement, or safety training
  • Bachelor's degree (preferably in environmental health and safety) preferred
  • Manufacturing experience is a plus
  • A demonstrated positive impact in leading improvements with Safety programs
  • Moderate to advanced computer skills with Microsoft Office and various other software products
  • OSHA VPP knowledge and experience preferred
  • A familiarity with lean manufacturing environments preferred
