Key responsibilities include conducting in-depth safety surveys, analyzing loss data, and developing proactive safety solutions to minimize risks. In addition, the role entails designing and delivering training programs tailored to specific safety needs. As a key resource for agencies, the specialist works closely with teams to expedite workers' compensation claims and manage Return to Work programs. Leading safety committee meetings, ensuring compliance with Bureau of Labor Statistics reporting, and collaboration on safety improvement initiatives are essential functions of the role.
