Location: all cities,UT, USA
QualSafe has an immediate need for a safety manager in Salt Lake City, UT that starts immediately and lasts until December of 2024. There will be 50ish hours per week worked.
Responsibilities:
Educate and enforce the client's existing safety program.
Conduct regular job site safety inspections, complete reports, document with photos, and implement corrective actions.
Train, coach, and mentor field crews in safe work practices.
Collaborate with field crews to find the safest methods to accomplish tasks.
Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and all applicable federal and state health and safety regulations.
Maintain safety programs with the guidance of the Corporate Safety Manager.
Perform both field and office work, with approximately 80%-85% of time spent in the field.
Maintain proficiency in fall protection, warning line systems, and other safety protocols.
Demonstrate assertiveness, team orientation, and effective communication skills.
Maintain a clean driving record and possess a valid driver's license.
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of experience in construction safety.
Three previous employer references.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Detail-oriented with excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work 40 hours per week and extended hours when needed.
Ability to stand/walk for 8-10 hours per day.
Ability to work at heights, climb, operate powered equipment, and ascend/descend stairs safely.
