Safety ManagerEaston Concrete in 20 W Haley Springs Rd, Bozeman, MT 59718-6073, United StatesFULL TIMEJOB SUMMARY:The Safety Manager guides and manages the overall provision of Safety services, policies and programs for Easton Companies. Primary objectives are to be part of creating a culture of safety and personal responsibility. Assist supervisors in ensuring a safe work environment for our coworkers. Implementation of a holistic Safety Program that includes a corporate safety policy, new hire orientation, training, and incentives.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:The Safety Manager reports to the Owner and is responsible for a wide variety of duties specific to completing a job. All duties are specific to their role in the system and its efficiency.Create and implement workplace health and safety policy, plans, and procedures.Develop and perform new hire safety orientation.Prepare and conduct accident prevention training and health and safety training on topics such as Fall Protection, Ladders, Excavation, Cranes and Rigging, Scaffolding, Respiratory Protection, etc.Inspect tools and equipment for safety related issues.Enforce Easton Companies safety policy and procedures including regular jobsite visits.Engage with Easton Companies customers' safety teams creating project specific safety plans.Investigate accidents and incidents to determine cause and enact preventive measures against further incidents.Be point of contact for governmental agency project safety inspections.Manage workers compensation claims to the best possible outcome for the coworker and the company.Assist equipment company in implementation of a Fleet Safety Program conforming to DOT regulations.Able to fill the role of OSHA “competent person” when necessary.Procure and inventory PPE.Other Duties: Periodic or occasional tasks or responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, assisting General Manager & Superintendent as needed.REQUIREMENTS:Education:High school diploma or GED (preferred)B.S. in Occupational Safety, CSP or equivalent work experience with an OSHA Outreach Construction Training CertificateLicensing/Registration/Certification:Valid Driver's License (Required)OSHA 500 or 510 CertificationsExperience:10 years Safety experience5 years Safety Manager experienceDirect experience with Concrete/Heavy Civil ConstructionMeasures of Performance:Be part of creating a culture of safety and personal responsibility.Assist supervisors in ensuring a safe work environment for our coworkers.Implementation of a holistic Safety Program that includes a corporate safety policy, new hire orientation, training, and incentives.Total Recordable Incident rate less than industry average of 3.1, loss time rate of 0, and Experience Modification Rate less than 1.1.Perform safety recordkeeping, OSHA 300 logs, DOT logs, etc.COMPETITIVE BENEFITS & COMPENSATION:A comprehensive benefits package, including medical, vision and dental insuranceLife insurance to secure your family's financial future401 (k) with a generous 4% company matchPaid Vacation to allow you the time to relax & rechargeHoliday Pay throughout the yearPLEASE NOTE: We are a drug-free workplace.
