Collaborates and strategizes with the Director of Safety in building a cohesive safety team. Communicates changes, updates, and expectations to the team timely and effectively. Serves as liaison for the safety coordinators to the Director, VP and CQO. Manages the Safety and Environment of Care Program for all locations across the health system. # Leads co-workers in a direction that fulfills the mission and goals of Parkview Health. Manages conflicts by facilitation, coaching and mentoring. Uses analytical skills in order to interpret data, problem solve, and present data to various audiences. Interprets regulatory standards and assesses the level of impact to the system. Collaborates with leaders at all levels throught the system to ensure standards are met. # Responsible for the systematic identification, analysis, and evaluation of exposure to life safety risk, safety liability, injury reduction and emergency preparedness. Provides direction for compliance with applicable local, state, and federal regulations regarding safety, emergency preparedness, life safety and hazardous materials. Manages co-workers who coordinate Safety, Environment of Care and Emergency Preparedness efforts. Ensures Environment of Care compliance and all standards as established by regulatory agencies are met. Attends Injury Review, Environment of Care and Emergency Preparedness Committee meetings. Manages, creates, trains and executes programs for Safety and Environment of Care programs and initiatives. Bachelor#s degree in Safety Management, Industrial Hygiene, or other related field preferred. # Must be Certified Healthcare Emergency Professional (CHEP) or obtain within the first 6 months. Must be Certified Healthcare Safety Professional (CHSP) or obtain in the first 6 months. Must have valid Indiana Driver#s license. # Previous healthcare experience in the field of safety and emergency preparedness. Must have 5 years experience in a lead or supervisory role in healthcare and preferably inpatient care setting. Analysis experience regarding environment of care delivery to include safety and emergency preparedness awareness with improvement principles, methods, and techniques preferred.
