This role will be located in Clarkson, KY and will be a full time role, base salary + full benefits.We are a 150 person manufacturer and distributor in the agriculture industry with a vast catalog of products and a 40 year track record of success!What You Will Be Doing
- Drive safety initiatives and a culture of safe work activities and processes across multiple locations with emphasis in our production facilities.
- overseeing the safety programs and policies at our multi-location manufacturing and distribution company
- The ideal candidate will have a strong background in safety management, experience working in manufacturing environments, and a proven track record of implementing effective safety initiatives.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits at all company locations to identify potential hazards and risks.
- Collaborate with department managers to address safety concerns and develop solutions to mitigate risks.
- Provide safety training to employees on topics such as machine safety, Lock-out/Tag-out, hazardous materials handling, and emergency response procedures.
- Investigate workplace accidents and incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
Required
- 3+ years in a safety manager/coordinator role
- Manufacturing environment experience
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and other state and federal safety standards.
Bonus Points
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field and experience.
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent certification is a plus.
