Job Summary: The Safety and Support Attendant is responsible for maintaining a safe environment for clients and staff, providing support services to clients, and assisting with general facility upkeep. This position requires a strong sense of responsibility and a dedication to helping others while maintaining a compassionate demeanor.
Responsibilities:
Conduct regular patrols of the facility and surrounding area to identify and address potential safety hazards.
Assist clients with navigating the facility and accompanying them to appointments as needed.
Provide support and assistance to clients in a respectful and professional manner.
Perform light cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, and emptying trash cans.
Report any incidents or concerns to appropriate staff immediately.
Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with people from diverse backgrounds.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical ability to perform tasks requiring standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
