The successful candidate will be crucial in ensuring compliance with safety regulations and maintaining high-quality standards outlined in the federal contract. We encourage you to apply if you have a proven track record in safety and quality management. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Work in a safe manner and correct unsafe acts and conditions with a mindset to eliminating all defects and hazards.
    • Lead by example in all areas of expected behavior.
    • Drive a culture of professionalism, quality and safety.
    • Encourage active hazard identification (good catches) and reporting of near misses as opportunities for improvement.
  • Deliver high level of customer service and overall customer satisfaction by ensuring full and complete delivery of customer material in accordance with client and government regulations.
    • Ensure that ASCI's Integrated Management System (IMS) and Safety & Environmental Manual (SEM) are compliant with customer's management system programs, policies, procedures, standards, specifications and/or directives.
    • Attend all working groups, safety meetings and councils and participate in and administer safety campaigns, safety bulletins, educational material and any other safety directives as requested by the customer.
    • Assume responsibility and accountability for section 4.3.12, 4.3.13 and 4.4 of the Performance Work Statement (PWS).
    • Responsible for the preparation and delivery of CDRL A006, ASCI's monthly report to the customer. This report requires input from the Project Manager, ASCI HR, and ASCI Accounting.
  • Act as primary contact for HSE and Quality related issues for ASCI employees and subcontractors.
    • Investigate all incidents and follow reporting/ documenting protocols. Develop, document, track and close all action items utilizing client database(s) as well as ASCI incident reporting program.
    • Maintain safety and quality training records, providing copies to Human Resources for data entry and filing.
    • Prepare and deliver all customer required reports for incidents, mishaps, damage and/or imminent hazards.
  • Design, develop, implement and maintain ASCI's safety, environmental and quality programs.
    • Develop safety training programs in accordance with OSHA and client requirements and conduct training sessions for ASCI employees and subcontractors.
    • Perform periodic audits of all ASCI facilities.
    • Deliver safety training in person or by other means to include video conference, to ASCI employees on other contracts or at other locations.
    • Conduct ASCI new hire safety orientation and safety training for all new employees (both direct and subcontractor). Assist with new hire safety orientation for all other ASCI locations to ensure that it is being adequately deployed.
    • Perform and document Safety Observation Conversations (SOC) and conduct quarterly and annual Integrated Management System (IMS) audits.
    • Design and generate safety and quality management reports to include trend analysis and gap analysis, or any other reports as required.
    • Complete weekly, monthly, quarterly and/or annual HSE and Quality statistical reporting to ASCI management.
    • Maintain ASCI safety manual and programs, and safety forms.
    • Ensure compliance with delivery timelines and expectations as outlined in the Site-Specific Quality Plan.
    • Conduct internal and participate in external Integrated Management System (IMS) audits.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience:
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of progressively responsible safety management, quality management, materials management, equipment operations, flight line support, and/or transportation support experience. Must also include at least five (5) years of demonstrated safety, environmental and/or quality management experience that demonstrates experience with:
    • Commercial driver programs
    • OSHA compliant safety programs
    • Industrial hygiene programs
    • Environmental programs, particularly spill control and prevention
  • Associate's degree in Occupational Safety & Health, or related program, required. Experience may be substituted on a 2:1 basis (4 additional years of experience required for full degree replacement). If experience is substituted, a High School Diploma, or equivalent, is required.
  • CHST/OHST/ASP/CSP certification preferred.
  • OSHA 501 certification preferred.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Valid Class C Driver's License with a clean driving history, Class A or B Commercial Driver's License preferred. Endorsements preferred include P-Passenger, X-Combination (Hazmat & Tanker).
  • Oversize Load Escort certification required, or ability to obtain within six months of hire.
  • Forklift certification required, or ability to obtain within six months of hire.
  • Ability to pass a government administered background investigation to be granted access to government systems and/or worksites.
