Safety, Security & Compliance AnalystMSC USA - Charleston50,000.00 - 55,000.00 USDJob Summary/ Key Responsibilities: The Safety, Security, and Compliance Analyst is responsible for providing administrative support to ensure efficient processing of Safety, Security, and Compliance programs. The Safety, Security, and Compliance Analyst assists in the administration of company supply chain security initiatives in support of the company's CTPAT program, completes associated tasks including compiling facts and data to answer supply chain inquiries, monitors and escalates incidents as necessary and helps managers with a variety of tasks related to record-keeping, organization, scheduling, and communications. The Safety, Security, and Compliance Analyst is familiar with a variety of company procedures and demonstrates the ability to effectively communicate via phone and email ensuring all administrative duties are delivered timely, accurately and with high quality.KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Observes corporate guidelines for recordkeeping and maintaining efficient filing systems.
  • Ensures security seal discrepancies are properly reported to interested parties and relevant actions are taken in accordance with MSC Post Incident Analysis process for security related events.
  • Assists with documentation of security risk assessments, security audits, and regular periodic program reviews.
  • Assists in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports, produces, and distributes correspondence.
  • Establishes and maintains positive relationship with customers, vendors, and co-workers.
  • Enters and monitors safety, security, and vessel compliance information in proprietary IT systems.
  • Supports recordkeeping of internal and external safety and security compliance assessments, and audits, including required documentation preparation and reviews with management.
  • Liaises with interdepartmental, third-parties, government agencies as necessary.
  • Responsible for confidential and time sensitive material.
  • Assists with import/export and general security compliance as requested.
  • May lead interdepartmental level projects other related duties, as assigned.
Qualifications & Key Competencies: REQUIRED SKILLS / ABILITIES
  • Experience analyzing data and trends
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with emphasis in Excel, PowerBI and other reporting tools
  • Basic knowledge of supply chain environment (ocean maritime industry preferred)
  • Ability to stay updated on market changes & industry news: Fundamental
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, judgment, and problem-solving abilities
  • Skilled competency level with all Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, supply chain or related field (preferred) or equivalent experience
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Maritime Degree (preferred)
  • Experience in shipping, supply chain, transportation
PREFERRED SKILLS & ABILITIES
  • Languages other than English
  • Experience in International Environment is a plus
OTHER INFORMATION
  • Eligible to qualify and maintain a valid TSA issued Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC)
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. (a must)
WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Office hours require computer input and document review. The wearing of personal protective equipment including, but not limited to, safety shoes, safety vest and a hard hat is occasionally required for site visits.
HOURS
  • Normal core working hours are 0800-1800
