Join us in our dedication to making a tangible impact through our advanced materials and superior products.Work as an integral part of our Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) team to create and maintain a culture that reflects a commitment to protecting the health and safety of employees, regulatory compliance and continuous improvement through technical support and tactical execution.This position will be responsible for things like driving an injury prevention and injury-free culture, staying abreast of new laws and regulations, maintaining the established PPE management program, assisting the safety manger in the development/maintenance of comprehensive safety management system, and coordinating safety meetings.Education & Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in safety, business, or other related field or equivalent demonstrated skills and abilities, working knowledge of ISO 45001, and a minimum of 3 years' experience with OSHA and safety programs.
Skills Needed
- Must be able to work without close supervision and be capable of self-checking completed work.
- Proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office products.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to convey caring while emphasizing accountability.
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
- Fast-paced production environment.
- Frequent travel to other Fort Wayne Metals facilities, required.
- Annual travel for training.
- Must be able to access all areas of operation, including second floors.
- Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Bending, reaching and stooping during shift.
