Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Safety Technician across the USA with 2-3 years of experience in utility-scale solar farm safety. The ideal candidate will be responsible for promoting and ensuring a safe work environment for all employees on-site. This role is critical in maintaining compliance with safety regulations and fostering a culture of safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits on solar farm sites to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Implement and enforce safety policies and procedures in accordance with OSHA regulations and industry standards.
- Provide training and resources for employees on safety practices, equipment use, and emergency procedures.
- Investigate incidents and accidents to determine root causes and recommend preventive measures.
- Maintain accurate records of safety training, inspections, and incidents.
- Collaborate with project managers and team members to ensure safety compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Assist in developing and updating safety plans and procedures specific to utility-scale solar operations.
- Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes related to safety.
Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of experience in safety management, preferably within the utility-scale solar industry.
- OSHA 30-hour certification is required; additional safety certifications (e.g., First Aid/CPR, OSHA 500) are a plus.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse teams.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions regarding safety protocols.
- Proficient in using safety management software and tools.
- Willingness to travel to various project sites as needed.
