Posting: Open to PublicRate: $17.10Position Summary:Under the supervision of the Surveillance Supervisor, monitor all activity that occurs on the gaming floor and within the boundaries of SEG properties to ensure the protection of the Tribes assets. Pay particular attention to all areas where currency is handled.Once selected, you are unable to transfer to any other position within the S.C.I.T. gaming entities. Additionally, if there is a separation of employment, you are ineligible for rehire within S.C.I.T gaming entities for a period of 2 years.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Observe, record, and report all gaming activities utilizing the CCTV and DVR systems.
  • Handle all calls to the department in a prompt, polite, and courteous manner.
  • Learn the location of all cameras on the property and quickly recall them when needed.
  • Maintain daily surveillance shift logs paying attention to accuracy and detail.
  • Check the equipment on a routine basis to ensure it is functioning properly.
  • Notify the Supervisor on duty of any suspicious activity observed.
  • Prepare and generate Suspicious Activity Reports (SAR) as needed.
  • Learn the gaming procedures for each department; Table Games, Slots, Finance, Security, etc.
  • Notify the Supervisor on duty of any procedural violation observed.
  • Prepare and generate a Procedural Error Report or Incident Report as necessary.
  • Maintain familiarity with the latest gaming regulations, company policies, and/or procedures.
  • Perform Close Watch Investigations as necessary.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of all games played on the casino floor.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the Surveillance room and equipment as necessary.
  • Refrain from fraternizing with other casino employees when possible.
  • Provide excellent customer service for all internal and external customers of the operations at all times. Provide solutions for customer concerns and continually focus on customer service as our top priority.
  • Must maintain strict confidentiality and present a positive, professional demeanor and image at all times.

Contacts/Purpose of Contacts:
  • Contact with supervisors and associates within the department to report surveillance activities.
  • Contact with other departments within the casino to aid in problem-solving, training, communication and to generally maintain high internal and external guest service levels.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • One year of Computer technology experience.
  • Must be willing to work any shift with days off as assigned by Management.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license to meet the employment eligibility requirements as they pertain to the position.
Desired Qualifications:
  • One year related Surveillance experience (college or military experience, etc.).
License, Certification, or Special Requirements:
  • Native American preference shall apply to all positions.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of fraud detection.
  • Skill in operating business computers and office machines, including in a Windows environment, specifically Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
  • Skill in mathematics.
  • Ability to operate surveillance equipment.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ability to operate a two-way radio.
  • Ability to learn all in-house casino games.
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work in a stressful fast-paced
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to work in close quarters for extended periods.
Physical Demands:
  • Frequent use of hands, wrists, and fingers associated with computer operations.
  • Sitting for extended periods of time.
  • Frequent walking throughout casino and resort.
  • Use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
  • Regularly required to talk and hear.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
Work Environment:
  • Normal Surveillance office.
  • Frequent walking and standing in a smoking environment and contact with the general public. Constant visual stimulation via neon lights on slot machines, repeatedly changing machine video screens, static or flashing signs throughout the casino, and constant machine and crowd noise.
  • Extended hours and irregular shifts may be required.
