This position will be the face of Verbio with our customers. This is a high energy fast paced role for individuals motivated to drive sales and growth through strong customer relationships. You will develop, coordinate and implement marketing strategies and provide sound agronomic recommendations toVerbio customers, specifically focusing on Verbio's Fertilizer products.POSITION DETAILS:Job Type: Full-TimeFLSA: ExemptSchedule: Monday - Friday - 40+ hours per week.Location: 1155 South G Ave Nevada, Iowa 50201WHAT WE WILL EXPECT FROM YOU:Required Qualifications:Valid driver's license, with acceptable driving record.At least three (3+) years of relevant work experience and/or training.Ability to work under adverse conditions (dust, extreme heat and cold, wind, rain, ice, snow, etc.)Ability to frequently stand and/or walk for extended periods of time.Physical activity includes stooping, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, and grasping.Ability to frequently lift and/or carry heavy objects up to 50 pounds.Ability to utilize a telephone for communication with internal and external customers.Working in a way that demonstrates safety is a priority.Promotes a work environment that is safe for everyone.Strong written and oral communication skills with a focus on customer service.Preferred Qualifications:A bachelor's degree in Agronomy or closely related area is a plus.Certified Crop Advisor, Preferred or ability to obtain.Responsibilities:Communicate new fertilizer product offerings and pricing information to clients.Consulting with growers and distributors working in the field on their product quality/standards and applications needed in their operation. ASL, NPK & HumusDemonstrate sound agronomic skills.Interpreting soil tests and nutrient maps, as needed.Building fertility recommendations based upon available data.Keep current on agronomic products, trends, problems, and challenges to make educated recommendations to producers.Be able to present products, services, and the added value to customers.Ensure customer satisfaction by prompt attention assisting or directing customers to the appropriate areas to meet their needs.Communicate with management on products being sold or any issues that arise with products, programs, or customers.Perform sales calls and assist in maintaining and increasing agronomy sales and marketing with existing customers and grow business with new customers, as applicable.Develop relationships with customer sales and agronomy teams, farmers/managers, researchers, and independent consultants within the region.Assist in the management of customer offers, work orders, contracts, and settlement documentation.Assist in coordination of scheduling truck transportation for agronomy deliveries.Maintain a high level of communication and disseminate customer information to all employees within the Agriculture team.Support Account Leads on accounts receivable risks on current and potential customers.Collaborate with the plant and agriculture teams to monitor projected agronomy sales in order to effectively manage inventory needs.Lead the organic certification and application process and annual permitting.Perform other duties as assigned.WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU:We offer competitive wages.
