Sales Agronomist Responsibilities:
- Spend approximately 70% of time in the office handling calls & 30% in the field with growers
- Develop & sustain strong relationships with current & prospective clients
- Lead sales presentations, product demonstrations, & offer expert agronomic guidance, including crop planning recommendations
- Apply knowledge of crop protection products and crop nutrients to support client needs
- Create crop input plans for farmers, make farm visits, and engage directly with customers
- Make sales calls to both existing & potential customers to generate orders
- Provide knowledgeable agronomic advice & tailored solutions to clients
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, market dynamics, & competitor activities
- Prepare sales reports & forecasts to meet company objectives
Sales Agronomist Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license & willingness to travel within territory
- Bachelor's degree in Agronomy, Agricultural Science, Crop Science, or related field
- 2-3 years' experience in sales within ag industry
- Strong knowledge of agronomic practices, crop production, & ag technologies
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required & ability to learn/use Ag software
- Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
- CDL A is a plus!
