Essential Functions 1. Implements sales plans as developed and directed by the Division Director to solicit via written and verbal methods for corporate, association and social groups for use of Grapevine Vintage Railroad. 2. Implements tele-sales efforts targeted at selling corporate and industrial employees for group tours and family ridership on the Grapevine Vintage Railroad. 3. Develops and conducts personal sales calls to potential group users, planned in conjunction with the Division Director. 4. Maintains records and reports on prospect leads and sales activities and reviews with the Division Director on a regular basis. 5. Exhibits at trade shows promoting Grapevine Vintage Railroad and other Grapevine hotels, attractions, restaurants, shopping and annual events under the direction of the Division Director. 6. Maintains through visitations and contacts a high degree of knowledge on all Grapevine attractions, facilities and hotels and that reception desks have current brochures and timetables. 7. Attends and participates in department meetings and attends monthly sales team meetings. 8. Maintains a close working relationship with other Grapevine Vintage Railroad staff and volunteers. 9. Assures the necessary sales and marketing materials and website for Grapevine Vintage Railroad are up to date at all time. 10. Assures that the distribution of all Grapevine Vintage Railroad materials to the metroplex and beyond are always stocked. 11. Performs related duties as directed when such duties are a logical and appropriate assignment to the position. 12. Regular and timely attendance are required for this position. Position requires ability to work flexible schedules as needed for weekends, evenings, holidays, special events and programs. 13. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS Requires a high school degree with four years of customer service and two years of sales and marketing experience or four years customer service and two years sales and marketing administrative experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job. Must have above average computer, math and reading skills, ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Must have mobility to make site visits and flexibility to work irregular hours/schedules and out of town overnight travel. Ability to develop and maintain quick working relationships. Must be willing to work irregular schedule. Must pass a Federal/National criminal background check and credit check. Must have a valid Texas driver's license with an acceptable driving record as defined by City policy. Must pass a pre-employment basic physical, drug screen, and functional assessment screening (Level 1).
