Summary of Responsibility: As a Sales Associate, you will be responsible for providing sales support to our capital sales team while supplementing our customers with technical information and products required to improve productivity of their machine tools. This role collaborates with Capital Sales Engineering, Application Engineering, Service, Contract Administration, technology suppliers and management to provide follow-up and ancillary products for our customers. Essential Functions:
  • Developing customer relationships to ensure all needs are met from pre-sale through complete integration of new machine tools.
  • Acting as the central knowledge base for accessories including work holding and tooling.
  • Responding to customer or field staff's inputs, product requests, and application issues
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with technology partners to support customers and field staff.
  • Maintain involvement with customer related projects to support future technology improvements, deadlines, and budgets.
  • Possessing and maintaining an in-depth knowledge of machine tool industry and product lines represented by the company.

  • A 2-year college degree is preferred, but not required.
  • Basic manufacturing technology, tooling, and part inspection is desired, but not required.
  • Willing to train the right candidate with no experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to interpret a variety of instructions provided in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Frequent day travel, with an occasional overnight stay, throughout a regional sales territory is necessary.
