Mike's team of diamond experts continue striving to provide the most friendly customer service in the Kansas City area with a focus on hospitality, transparency, and respect for the clients' needs. Toner Jewelers carries a wide range of fine jewelry, engagement rings, earth-mined & lab-grown diamonds, gemstones, an impressive selection of vintage, heirloom, estate jewelry and pre-owned Rolex timepieces. Toner Jewelers also provides on-site jewelry repair, watch repair, and appraisal services. Additionally Toner Jewelers is also a KC destination for selling gold, diamonds, fine jewelry, silver flatware, luxury timepieces and more.

Toner Jewelers is seeking a Full Time Sales Professional to join our team of Diamond Sales Professionals. The ideal candidate is a goal oriented, proactive individual who seeks to bring sparkle to clients' lives and occasions through outstanding customer service. This person is detail-oriented, displays a passion for learning about people and products alike, and seeks to join a dynamic team. If you enjoy talking to clients with a desire to learn what's important to them, and then turn that knowledge into tailored experiences and jewelry selections, we want to hear from you. While no jewelry experience is explicitly required, a background in commissioned sales, experience in luxury retail stores, or a high end service industry environment is desirable. We will provide the training you need to successfully demonstrate knowledge of our products and services, deliver our standards of customer service, and create exceptional service experiences. What we cannot teach is a passion for making customers' special life moments memorable, and that is why we invite you to bring enthusiasm and joy to our team.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Conduct sales presentations that emphasize the features and benefits of our products, actively driving sales by the understanding unique needs of each customer.
  • Cultivate strong, long lasting customer relationships through various methods of communication, manage client lists to maximize selling opportunities and create selling opportunities and occasions.
  • Collaborate with team members in selling situations to work with varying personalities to provide outstanding service and close more sales.
  • Work towards personal goals while contributing towards team goals and the overall success of the store
  • Receive feedback on performance growth areas as well as provide feedback to other team members professionally.

Qualifications:

  • Previous sales experience preferred, but not required
  • Honest with an outgoing personality
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • High internal motivation
  • Flexibility to work with a variety of personalities
  • Availability to work Saturdays required

Compensation:

  • Hourly Pay plus Commission Paid Monthly
  • Total estimated take-home pay in first year of employment $55k-$70k
  • Premium pay opportunity for well-qualified applicants with jewelry experience
  • Income potential exceeds $70k annually for driven candidate with the right skill set
