Job Title: Sales Associate

POSITION:
The Sales Associate(Wellness Advisor) assists the General Manager with new membership sales and the retention of current members. The Wellness Advisor provides superior customer service while helping new and current students with class selections, answering membership questions, and transacting merchandise purchases. We expect you to be excited about meeting and greeting our customers and be part of building a strong YogaSix community. Daily, you are expected to make phone calls and other outreach communications to studio prospects and members.
You must be able to work a minimum of 20 hours a week, 4-7 hours per shift, depending on the class schedule each day. The work is mainly on weekends, Friday through Sunday.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Excellent sales, communication, and customer service skills. Must be comfortable making outbound phone calls to people who have indicated interest in our yoga studio (no cold calling )
- Minimum of 2+ sales experience
- Goal-oriented with an ability to achieve sales targets
- Strong customer service skills
- A passion for health and fitness
- Ability to learn and use the Club Ready software system
- Must be fluent in English and have excellent communication skills via in-person, phone, and email
- Must be sales-focused and metric-driven
- Must have proficient computer skills
- Daily and/or occasional travel may be required within Monmouth County, NJ
- Attend special events and training as needed
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Execute the full sales process of lead generation, follow-up, and closing the sale
- Meet and exceed sales goals as established by the General Manager
- Book quality appointments to achieve monthly sales quota
- Be knowledgeable about products, programs, and pricing
- Assumes responsibility for developing selling skills
- Emphasize and enforce the objectives of the studio as a fitness and wellness provider
- Participate in grassroots/community events (health fairs, grand openings, marathons, and community and hospital events) to promote the studio
- Assists with maintaining a clean, safe, and inviting environment and upkeep of the studio
- Conduct studio tours with new prospects to build rapport to facilitate sales
- Other duties as assigned
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- The physical demands described here are representative of those that an employee must meet to perform the essential functions of the job successfully
- You may be required to sit or stand for up to four hours. It may be required to reach with hands and arms. Must be able to bend, lift, kneel, and drive a car. This job requires the person to climb stairs, as elevators are not present at all locations. You may be asked to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Distance vision, Peripheral vision, Depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus

COMPENSATION & PERKS:
- Training hours are paid out at minimum wage, starting at $17/hour, with commissions based on studio performance.
