Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Sales Associate to join our sales team. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for sales, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build lasting relationships with customers. As a Sales Associate (Mainstream), you will be responsible for promoting and selling our range of food products to mainstream retailers, wholesalers, and distributors, ensuring customer satisfaction, and driving business growth.

Client Details

We are a leading food manufacturer in the Asian food market. This role will be 100% on-site position based in the San Fernando Valley.

Description

  • Sales Execution & Growth: Drive sales growth by developing and maintaining relationships with existing and new customers in the mainstream market (retailers, wholesalers, supermarkets).
  • Customer Support: Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, processing orders, and following up on customer needs to ensure satisfaction.
  • Market Knowledge: Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to effectively sell and position the company's products.
  • Product Promotion: Present and demonstrate product features and benefits to customers, ensuring they are fully informed about the product line and its advantages.
  • Territory Management: Manage assigned accounts and territories, with a focus on meeting or exceeding sales targets and objectives.
  • Sales Reporting: Regularly update sales data, track performance metrics, and submit reports to management to ensure alignment with company goals.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing, logistics, and product development teams to support promotional campaigns, stock availability, and product feedback.
  • Negotiation & Closing: Lead negotiations and close sales deals, ensuring profitable terms while maintaining long-term relationships with customers.
  • Problem Resolution: Address and resolve any customer complaints or issues in a timely and professional manner to ensure continued business.

Profile

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (preferred).
  • Experience: At least 2-3 years of sales experience, preferably in the food manufacturing or FMCG industry.
  • Skills:
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Excellent negotiation and closing skills.
    • Knowledge of mainstream retail markets and distribution channels.
    • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
    • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Personal Attributes:
    • Proactive, self-motivated, and results-driven.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • High level of integrity and professionalism.
    • Strong customer focus and problem-solving skills.
