Sales Associate, The Chilewich Store Location: New York Job Description Based at our soon-to-open store/showroom in midtown Manhattan and reporting to the Store Manager, this full-time, salaried role is integral to the success of our new location and the momentum of our retail operations as we continue to build our reputation as a trusted resource for the design community.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Demonstrate a high level of customer service
- Communicate Chilewich's unique attributes
- Project a professional brand image
- Process daily retail transactions and specialty sales orders (Custom, Contract, and Hospitality)
- Achieve and exceed store sales goals
- Assist Store Manager in building a solid business network and repeat customer base
- Demonstrate ability to clientele and build a rolodex of customers
- Provide product knowledge to clients through features, values, and benefits of each product
- Efficiently perform opening and closing routines
- Assist Store Manager in inventory management and receiving procedures
- Maintain the highest standards of professionalism, cleanliness, and organization
Job Requirements - Knowledge of and/or interest in interior design, home furnishings, textile, and/or hospitality industries
- At least three (3) years retail experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven track record of successful sales generation and clienteling
- Open availability and flexibility to work weekends and holidays, including opening and closing shifts to meet the needs of the business
