Position Overview:
As the Sales and Business Development Leader at //TECHYSCOUTS, you will be the driving force behind our sales efforts and business expansion. This role is multifaceted, requiring a balance of direct sales, sales management, sales operations, business development, and growth leadership. You'll work closely with our executive team to shape our sales strategy, build a high-performing sales team, and foster strong relationships with clients and partners.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities (In descending order of time allocation):
Direct Sales (The majority of time spent):
- Serve as the primary person responsible for generating new business, closing inbound leads, and driving the entire sales funnel.
- Engage at each stage of the sales process - from initial contact to contract signing, payment collection, and transition/warm hand-off to fulfillment and customer service.
Business Development:
- Identify and drive various partnership opportunities, including lead generation, co-branding, white-label, enterprise, and referral partnerships.
- Achieve business development goals alongside direct sales and revenue targets.
Cross-Sales/Up-Sales:
- Identify up-sales and cross-sales opportunities within our existing client base.
- Develop and implement workflows and automations that support a continuous cross-sales program.
Sales Operations:
- Collaborate with marketing to create and refine pitch decks, brochures, and other sales materials.
- Refine lead/pre-sales experience and maximize data capture throughout sales funnel.
- Champion and administration and configuration assistance of HubSpot and other internal sales systems. Experience running HubSpot email campaigns is a plus.
Other projects and activities as assigned by management
This role may require travel to as many as 1-2 trade shows over 3-4 days per month
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in sales and business development, preferably in the agency or SaaS industry.
- Strong track record of closing sales, leading sales teams, and achieving revenue targets.
- Proficiency with CRM systems, particularly HubSpot, and experience in sales operations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and partners.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to identify new opportunities and drive business growth.
- Experience with partnership development and a strong network in the digital marketing or tech space is a major plus.
- Strong network in a target industry, especially attorneys or dentists, a major plus
