Are you living your life's work?Encore Gift Shop - now hiring Located in Kennett Square, we are a quality resale consignment shop specializing in jewelry and home furnishings.All proceeds benefit Chester County Hospital. This year alone - we have raised over $300k!Regular Staff Hours are Monday - Saturday 8:30 to 4:30. Various shift structures are available. All staff members work some Saturdays each month.General Summary Statement •Works directly under the Gift Shop Manager •Maintains the Women's Auxiliary Gift Shop (WAGS) during evening and weekend hours •Provides customer satisfaction through excellent service Essential Duties and Responsibilities •Operates the cash register accurately and efficiently according to departmental procedure •Will accurately reconcile evening/weekend receipts at designated time. Document the daily deposit for verification by the bookkeeper. Records any discrepancies clearly on all documents •Assures customer credit card and bank account information is maintained in a confidential manner. Verifies credit card and bank checks for accuracy. •Performs regular housekeeping duties of dusting, vacuuming and cleaning to achieve a quality standard in the appearance of the shop •Will replace inventory from the stock room to replace sold merchandise •At the request of the manager, will accurately price merchandise as instructed •Will record all sales of general merchandise in log book •Maintain floral inventory and place orders with local florist on a daily basis •Follows hospital rules and policies •Displays a Positive AttitudeEducation Training and Experience •High School Diploma required •Retail Experience and/or Customer ServiceWe believe that the best care for our patients starts with the best care for our employees.
