Job Description:
Purpose of this Job:This role is responsible for ensuring the completion of strategies that meet our corporate Execution and Mid-Term Plan targets. Identify and develop key actions to support the sales team in overcoming market, industry, or other challenges to the company financial goals. Requires daily support to the Sales and Marketing team in pursuit of OEM business and in support of Sanden's customers.RequirementsPrinciple Duties/Essential Functions:Sales and Program coordinator for Customer Air Conditioning compressor businessContinual work to develop relationships with established customersProvide sales quotes and cost estimates to customersCreate work orders based on requests relative to sales for customersTrack the status and delivery of all orders and invoice when appropriateMaintain direct contact with customer's Engineering and Purchasing departments and personnelMaintain records of where each program is with regard to development budgetsAttend program meetings to monitor and track cost control influencesOther Tasks/Responsibilities:Work with Sales Management as needed with sales and marketing projectsResearch Market of customers future demandsMarket research to establish customer targetsSpecial projects/studies as requiredIdentify opportunities for profit improvementSupport daily sales office requirementsCompetencies:Good administrative, organizational, and problem-solving skillsAbility to multitaskEffectively communicateJudgement and decision makingActive learningTime managementEducation:Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, General Business ManagementKnowledge, Skills and Experience:3 + years' experience within the Automotive Industry3+ years of Automotive Sales experience (Preferably Tier 1 level)Must have an automotive industry background and practical experience handling a variety of automotive commoditiesExcellent verbal and written communication skills with people at different levels throughout an organizationExperience or knowledge of statisticsStrong skill sets with a proven track record of successful customer negotiationsA creative, proactive and results oriented mind setPossess the ability to direct individual accomplishments toward organizational objectivesExperience in project management.Ability to analyze and troubleshoot technical problems, make technical proposals.Strong time management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously requiredAbility to successfully interact with a wide range of Customers (internal and external)Must be knowledgeable of TS-16949 Quality Management System and ISO-14001 Environmental proceduresRequires excellent verbal and written communication skills.Must have strong computer skills with emphasis on Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.Licenses or Certifications:N/APhysical Demands:Ability to work effectively under time constraintsPersonal Protective Equipment (PPE):PPE required based on specific projects and tasks.Work Environment/Hours:Primary work area is located in an office setting.Must work normal office hours plus provide support on evenings and weekend (as needed)Primary Work Location:Plymouth, MITravel Requirements:Up to 5%, domestically and possibly internationallyCompany management reserves the right to add, delete, or otherwise alter assigned duties at any time.
