Reports To: Area Director of Sales Collaborates With: General Manager

POSITION PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES:

The Sales Coordinator works to support BryantCorp's vision of building better communities through beautiful spaces. The Sales Coordinator assists the hotel General Managers, Assistant General Manager, and Chief Engineer to accomplish the goals of the company.

As a Sales Coordinator, you can deliver the BryantCorp difference by building relationships with our guests from the beginning of their booking process throughout their stay. You will be responsible for responding to guest inquiries, coordinating event details, and providing administrative sales support.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, followthrough, courtesy, cooperativeness, and work with a minimum of supervision.
  • Refined verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be proficient in general computer and Microsoft Office
  • 12 months of sales and/or hotel front desk experience preferred
  • Interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with co-workers and the public.
  • Previous sales experience preferred

PRINCIPLE JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position is responsible for:

  • Supports the Area Director of Sales with a focus on optimizing revenue and bookings
  • Communicate pertinent information regarding groups to the various departments of the hotel to ensure a cohesive and consistent process with the overall goal of customer and guest satisfaction.
  • Organizing and maintaining detailed group information and entering into R&I, OnQ, and Coda
  • Conducting site tours of the property for walk-ins.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with venues/representatives that provide SMERF (Sports/Social, Military, Education, Religious, Fraternal) business to the area. Contact these venues to proactively seek revenue-generating opportunities.
  • Coordinate meeting room details, set up and tear down, if hotel has meeting space. Ensuring the meeting contact has your information for reference to have while on property.
  • Coordinating administrative sales support such as documenting sales calls, setting up billing information, creating sales flyers, etc. to groups such as sports teams, small meetings, reunions, and weddings.
  • Responsible for the preparation of proposals and/or contracts to advise prospective customers on reservation of hotel guest rooms, meeting space(s), and rate availability.
  • Responsible for initiating reservations for group attendees, preparing rooming lists, revisiting existing reservations, and building group blocks as needed. Communicating to external customers as needed.
  • Providing exemplary guest service by demonstrating a personal commitment to making every guest satisfied.
  • Other duties as requested by the Area Director of Sales
