Job DescriptionThe Courtyard by Marriott Newark - University of Delaware is an award-winning hotel located on the University of Delaware campus in the heart of Newark, Delaware. We are looking for a dynamic personality to join our team as a Sales Coordinator. This is the perfect part-time job for someone with previous hospitality experience looking to have a great work-life balance. In addition to working with awesome people, we have a few perks to add, including travel discounts, meal discounts, and 401K eligibility.ResponsibilitiesThe Sales Coordinator will serve a vital supporting role for our sales team, including: Help ensure compliance with and completion of all daily operational procedures by the Sales department, such as: Preparing and sending documentation to customers. Responding to customer calls and emails. Assisting the sales staff in completing customer paperwork. Follow-up with customers to ensure they are satisfied with their products and services. Input data into our customer management system. Perform miscellaneous support services, including filing, gathering information, organizing the sales office, and helping to keep sales work area neat, clean, and presentable to clients or hotel staff. Maintain knowledge of all hotel services/features and hours of operation. Maintain complete knowledge in the use of all office equipment, computer, and manual systems. Maintain confidentiality and security of specified hotel information, correspondence, reports and files. Familiarization with current customers and hotel accounts. Working knowledge of the Front Desk and all hotel operations. Ensures communication with General Manager, all other Department Managers, and staff. Other duties as assigned.QualificationsQualified candidates interested in this job should: Have a high school diploma or equivalent. Be able to satisfactorily communicate in English with guests, management, and co-workers to their understanding. Possess excellent communication skills, both written and oral. Have previous hotel, customer service, and/or sales experience.
