Job Description:

Sales CoordinatorThe Sales Coordinator holds an important role to the success of the hotel. You will assist in the execution of the administrative process, service, detail and efficiently communicate to hotel staff the group needs from time of booking through check out date. Efficiently perform all assigned sales duties including processing incoming leads and executing sales reporting requirements. Ensure all deadlines are met, perform assigned duties, maintain sales data files and act as liaison between sales and clients. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:Prospecting new business and repeat clients through solicitation, networking, cold-callingConduct pre-event, main event, and post-event details for groups: Track, detail, and communicate with hotel staff and clients about the particulars of each function and/or groupProcess all incoming business leadsMaintain files and up to date sales databasesExecute assigned sales reporting and ensure all deadlines are metFollow-up on all special projects and assignments given by the GM.Other responsibilities as assigned.Responsibilities are subject to changeCoverage of the Front Desk when neededJOB REQUIREMENTS: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) RequiredAssociate's Degree (two-year college or technical school) or Work EquivalentMust be proficient in Microsoft Office productsExperience in a hotel or related industry preferredStrong time management skillsStrong verbal and written communication skillsESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Requires ability to sit, walk and stand during the workday; requires ability to lift 10 - 15 pounds.Maintains and promotes a positive and cooperative work relationship with all hotel departmentsMust be able to work a flexible schedule that will include days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
