Job Description:

The Sales Director – United States is responsible for meeting and exceeding revenue and profit goals. The Sales Director will increase Alpha's market share, assist, and lead the sales team, while focusing on assigned retail accounts. This includes establishing and maintaining business relationships with customers, as well as actively prospecting for new accounts and maximizing sales potential within existing customers. You may be responsible for managing accounts and/or growing the business by securing new accounts. This position requires a minimum of travel 60% of the time. The ideal candidate would live close to a major airport.

Sales Director Job Duties:
  • Develop and lead the customer sales strategy.
  • Foster and develop long-lasting relationships with customers.
  • Responsible for meeting monthly, quarterly, annual revenue and profit targets, as well as other goals/objectives as assigned.
  • Implement and execute corporate initiatives as directed.
  • Oversee projects associated with assigned accounts, including but not limited to new development, internal and external communication, support, and training and development.
  • Develop business plans to meet corporate goals and objectives.
  • Continually refine and follow-up on business plans as required by market conditions.
  • Grow existing customer base with existing and new products.
  • Provide expertise and resources to the sales team in relation to the product line solutions.
  • Drive initiatives and programs to generate incremental revenue and new business.
  • Provide market feedback on accounts, markets, competition, and product issues/needs.
  • Collaborate with product management, marketing, other lines of businesses, and internal support teams.
  • Oversee monthly forecasting on customer product needs.
  • Provide weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports on activities and strategies as agreed to with the Global Vice President of Sales.
  • Work with other functions as necessary (Field Service, Customer Service, Finance).
  • Attend Strategic Trade Shows.
  • Lead US Sales Meetings.
  • At least 60% of time must be spent customer facing. Act as a liaison for internal and external communications with account base.
  • Ensure the Salesforce is used and maintained by the Sales team.
  • Provide first class customer service and care both internally and externally.
  • Other functions as assigned.
Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Formal Sales and Management Training a plus.
Sales Director Experience:
  • Minimum of (6) years of experience in sales, with large/national account responsibility for at least 3 years.
  • Experience in previous sales in retail stores (enterprise, supply chain, store level) is highly preferred.
  • Additional Experience is preferred in:
    • Retail as part of Loss Prevention and Store Operations.
    • Customer Service or related field experience.
    • Retail Sales.
    • Global or National Account Experience.
Sales Director Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain and grow strong customer relationships.
  • Proven ability to sell complex solutions as well as a variety of hardware & specialty products.
  • Experience in sales with both short and long sales cycles times, a plus.
  • Solid understanding of current technologies used in retail.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with internal teams to effectively deliver excellent service and increase sales.
  • Ability to engage in market research and business planning.
  • Exceptional presentation skills and ability to influence others by effectively using data.
  • Experience identifying and acquiring new customers and acquiring new sales.
  • Creative in finding solutions to problems.
  • Understanding of demand planning and supply chain and the importance of accurate forecasting.
  • Experience partnering with Product Management to offer insights and intelligence defining and anticipating customer needs.
  • Financial and business savvy, ability to communicate a business case.
  • Project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently, a self-starter, and deliver results in an autonomous fashion.

Full-time

Pay:

$91,613.70 - $110,330.48 per year
