The Director of Sales will market and sell by aligning products and services to a client's unique needs. This position is required to use their industry expertise and strong communication skills to convey the value, products and services to all levels of client staff. The Director of Sales is key in providing competitive insight to product development.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (of the job)
Generates new revenue consistent with company goals and targetsAssist in defining unique client requirements for Global SolutionsSupports Corporate Sales efforts by providing input, market intelligence and feedback from prospective clientsDevelops sales proposals and quotes for prospective clients for company services and offerings.Develops and delivers sales presentations in a professional mannerCalls prospective clients to qualify leads and describe servicesDevelops list of prospective clients using trade and professional association membership lists or magazines, telephone directories and other sourcesFollows up on leads generated, tracks and responds to inquiries, solicits further salesMaintains an up to date understanding of industry trends and developments that affect target marketsWorks with global solutions staff to help define requirements for clients to ensure they are well communicatedMeets quarterly sales goals and quotas in accordance with sales plansProduces and distributes activity reports, updates contact management software on a consistent basisDocuments activities in salesforce.comAll other duties as assignedPOSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Business preferred or equivalent work experience.Minimum 5 years experience in sales or customer service relationship management preferably with an integrated carrier, LTL trucking company or 3PL including Knowledge of Transportation marketplace and freight payment servicesMust be familiar with both US and global processing#J-18808-Ljbffr
