Job Description:

DIRECTOR OF SALES OPENING SANTA FE SPRINGS CA DIRECT HIRE. MUST HAVE 7+ YEARS AS A SALES DIRECTOR IN THE NUTRACEUTICAL OR SUPPLEMENT INDUSTRY. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THIS EXPERIENCE PLEASE DO NOT APPLY.

MUST Strong understanding of vitamin industry, ingredients, and formulations.

SALARY RANGE: $180-218,000 DEPENDING ON HOW STRONG YOU ARE WITH SELLING NUTRACEUTICAL AND SUPPLEMENTS.

This position requires a candidate with significant experience in the industry of vitamins, this is key.

This is a replacement for the current Director of Sales who will be retiring in May/June and will work closely with her to help transition the position.

The company sells B2B, not directly to the consumer, so a candidate that has this experience is needed.

The candidates should have experience in R&D (ingredients and formulations).

Job Summary:

The Director of Sales will lead the sales team, assist with customer acquisition efforts, ensure efficient day-to-day sales operations and drive revenue growth by leveraging deep industry knowledge and technical expertise. This role requires a strategic and forward-thinking leader who excels at building and nurturing relationships with key clients and stakeholders. Additionally, the Director of Sales will work in close partnership with R&D, Marketing, and the Customer Service Team to deliver a seamless and exceptional customer experience, proactively addressing concerns, and ensuring customer satisfaction at every touchpoint in the journey. This is an onsite position, not a remote (work from home) role.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing technical sales team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Monitor the sales team's performance, conduct regular evaluations and feedback sessions.

Provide training and development to new and existing employees, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed.

Partnering with Human Resources for support in areas such as e.g., recruitment, performance improvement plans, disciplinary actions, etc.

Responsibilities

Partner with the Chief Growth Officer and senior leadership to align sales objectives with the company's growth strategy to drive revenue growth and expand market share.

Lead daily sales team operations, including pipeline management deal prioritization, and customer engagement.

Will collaborate with the Chief Growth Officer to execute comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and market share growth.

Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.

Utilize in-depth technical knowledge of nutraceutical products to support sales efforts and provide technical guidance to clients.

Staying up to date on market research and analysis while also partnering with Marketing to identify new business opportunities to stay ahead of industry trends.

Collaborate with Marketing to align campaigns, lead generation, and branding with sales goals.

Work closely with R&D, and product development teams to ensure alignment of sales strategies with company objectives.

Analyze sales metrics and prepare regular reports on team performance, pipeline health, and revenue top line sales within the company.

Qualifications: (Competencies, Minimum Education Requirements, Training or Experience)

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Marketing, R&D), required.

Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Sales Director role within the nutraceutical or supplement manufacturing industry.

Strong understanding of vitamin industry, ingredients, and formulations.

Familiarity with CRM software and sales analytics tools (e.g., NetSuite, HubSpot, etc.)

Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.

Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.

Strong project management capabilities.

Exceptional communication, negotiations, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively present technical information to non-technical audiences.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strategic mindset.

Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events and trade shows.
