In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting our customers and sales team by providing expert technical guidance on our specialized water heating products and services. You'll have the opportunity to utilize your sales acumen and engineering knowledge to ensure our solutions meet and exceed customer expectations. Summary: As a Sales Engineer at Hubbell, you will collaborate closely with customers and internal stakeholders to address technical aspects of our offerings, facilitate sales processes, and drive business growth. You will prepare technical presentations, conduct equipment assessments, and customize products to align with customer needs. Your ability to communicate complex technical information clearly to non-technical audiences will be essential in driving successful sales outcomes. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations to demonstrate Hubbell's products and services.
  • Consult with customers and engineers to assess equipment requirements and system specifications.
  • Provide technical sales support to our sales teams, ensuring a thorough understanding of customer needs.
  • Research, develop, and modify products to meet customer technical requirements.
  • Assist customers with product issues and recommend improvements.
  • Gather and analyze customer feedback to enhance sales and marketing strategies.
  • Train sales team members on technical aspects of Hubbell's offerings.
  • Provide costing data and maintain costing calculators.
  • Create and manage technical submittal packages including SolidWorks drawings, Revit files, and installation drawings.
  • Collaborate with Engineering departments to ensure timely quote responses.
Qualification Requirements: To excel in this role, you should possess:
  • A Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Strong proficiency in SolidWorks, Revit, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.
  • The capacity to work independently and as part of a collaborative team environment.
Working Conditions: This position operates primarily in a general office environment with occasional travel, including overnight trips domestically and internationally. Flexibility with work hours during peak business cycles may be required. Hubbell Work Standards:
