Job Description:

Position Summary

The Sales Engineer is responsible for assigned customers to achieve of sales and profitable growth objectives. The commercial market segments include Aerostructures, Medical, Engine & IGT and Defense with forged and precision machined components from a variety of metals and alloys. This role is home office based in California with frequent travel to plant and customer locations supporting Precision Metal Products and True Position Technologies reporting to the National Sales Manager.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for developing and executing annual sales objectives, new product and customer growth programs and strategic project plans
  • Develops executive level relationships with key customers with technical expertise and service to differentiate from competitors and increase overall sales volume
  • Gather and analyze market data to identify new product and/or product improvement opportunities, new customer development and improve sales efficiencies
  • Design and recommend sales programs and sets short and long term sales strategies for assigned accounts and new customer development
  • Responsible for sales forecasting, new order pipeline and quoting presentation and tracking, inclusive of daily sales activities
  • Empowered to make decisions for assigned customers in partnership with functional peers
  • Aligns commercial and operational initiatives to achieve business objectives

Experience and Education Required

  • Bachelors Degree in Business, Engineering or a related field
  • 3 or more years in aerospace or industrial sales, technical sales, product management, or customer-facing role.
  • Ability to demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated decision making and strategic account management
  • Advanced skill with all MS Office products
  • Must be able to travel regularly up to 50% of the time.
