NST is focused on developing new technologies and the continued growth and success of the organization, through both the NST and Bradford White Corporation.Primary Function: The Sales Estimator is responsible for supporting prospective and existing customers by preparing accurate estimates for projects. This role will support the Sales and Engineering teams by analyzing required documents, blueprints, and project plans to guide customers through project completion timelines. This role will report to the Sales Manager but will work very closely with the Engineering, Purchasing and Operations teams.Responsibilities:
- Prepare product estimates for products sold
- Professional communication directly with customers, representatives and contractors
- Drawing creation for Sales and Engineering
- Drawing revisions and updates as required
- Creation and revision of Bill of Materials
- Creation and revision of Project Packets as required
- Assist manufacturing floor as needed on current projects and development work for manufacturing engineering projects
- Assistance on facility upgrade designs
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma required, Associate or bachelor's degree in business or technical area preferred.
- At least two years of estimating experience of engineered to order process equipment required, previous work experience in a Mechanical Design department or a shop fabrication facility preferred
- Must have problem solving and analytical skills as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Planning skills and ability to work under tight deadlines
- Must be decisive, possess a sense of urgency and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with MS Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point)
- Experience using data entry estimating
- At least one year of CAD experience utilizing either Autodesk Products or AutoCAD design software
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Familiarity with ASME or other code regulations required
- Knowledge of metal fabrication environment preferred
- Ability to read and understand blueprints preferred
- Knowledge of material specifications preferred
