PLZ Corp is the North American leader in specialty aerosol and liquid product manufacturing. We formulate, blend, fill and package more than 2,500 branded and private label products including , , , , , , and for home and industrial use.
We are hiring a Sales Manager to support the Food Service business and is responsible to achieve sales and margin growth in an assigned geographic market and assigned customers/prospects. Focusing on key/national accounts, distributors relationships, distributor groups (as assigned), broker management and contract customers.
* Directly responsible for achieving sustainable, profitable growth for the companys pan spray division
* Must have strong negotiation skills
* Must be able to deliver strong on-line sales presentations
* Must be self-driven to find and present solutions
* Seek out new and manage assigned private label/contract packing opportunities including retail opportunities
* Must take a sales hunter approach to account management constantly seeking to expand business within current customer base
* Manage current assigned customers and brokers to achieve sales goals and objectives
* Communicate with the Senior National Sales Director of Foodservice regularly concerning progress of strategic plan and actions needed, if any, to guarantee success
* Responsible for corporate relationship with Cheney Brothers, Liebers/Kenover Marketing, WA Cleary, Wakefern, InterCounty Bakers, Clark & Associates, Dollar General, Publix, etc. will also assist Sales Director with specific relationships as needed
* Sales Manager will work independently with customers and with broker personnel to achieve sales and profitability.
* Achieve Net Sales and Margin Budget targets for fiscal year
* Develop written sales plans and strategies to capitalize on opportunities which meet / exceed the divisions sales goals
* Monitor customer, market and competitor activity and provide business plans to address risks and opportunities
* Collaborate internally on projects
* Be an effective hands on trainer of broker, distributor, and operator personnel - Minimum of 1 broker training per year per office
* Contribute to written directives regarding lead follow-up, priorities, reminder notes, etc.
* Possess adequate working knowledge of product types and pack sizes of in-house as well as competitive product knowing strengths and weaknesses of both
* Conduct in-person and virtual meetings with customers and partners to develop key relationships
Qualifications:
* Bachelor degree, Sales/Marketing concentration, or equivalent experience
* 5 year minimum Food Service Sales & Marketing and experience, distributor, food broker, culinary, or other foodservice manufacturer product preferred
* Proven successful sales performance
* 25% travel
* Proven ability to interact effectively with Sales & Purchasing Executives
* Thorough understanding of Excel including Pivot Tables for self-generation of sales reporting and distributor/broker communication
* Knowledge of Power Point for generation of review and training materials
* Ability to compile and decipher industry data and reports
