About the job Sales Manager - Japanese Bilingual A renowned luxury hotel located in the heart of New York City is looking for talented individuals to join its team.Sales Manager
- Building Japanese and international sales that drive growth in new and existing accounts in the leisure marketplace.
- Identify additional business opportunities and manage accounts.
- Proficient in all hospitality operational tools (Opera SynXis, Hotelligence), social media platforms, and Microsoft Office programs.
- Develop and execute sales strategies, negotiate contracts, and manage customer relationships.
- Prepare sales Proposals, contracts, group resumes, BEOs, reservation links, etc.
- Introduce and enroll the hotel into various luxury groups such as Virtuoso, American Express, and fine hotels and resorts programs.
- Negotiate contracts with clients on behalf of the company as well as manage relationships with travel agents, online travel agents, and corporate accounts and maintain knowledge of competitors pricing.
- Development of new sales and promotions to increase revenue.
- Maintain a complete database of accounts, bookings and sales activities.
- Active solicitation of new and existing accounts, utilizing a variety of prospecting methods, including but not limited to telephone and outside calls to potential clients locations.
- Attend trips, trade shows and customer events on behalf of the hotel.
- Prepare monthly reports incorporating competitive sales analyses and updates.
Qualifications:
- Fluency in Japanese
- Several years of experience in the hospitality industry
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with key clients
