**Sales Manager**

We are a small, women-owned startup focused on bringing our plant-based burgers to market.

Lekka Burger is 100% plant-based burgers & shakes concept from award-winning Chef Amanda Cohen, and social-impact entrepreneur Andrea Kerzner. We operate a veganfast-casual restaurant in Tribeca, NY, in addition to serving a growing roster of B2B and DTC clients through our wholesale business. As our wholesale business grows, we are looking for a Sales Manager with NYC food & beverage sales experience, and a passion for plant-based foods, to join our team. The role is a sales leadership and selling position, which will involve strategically implementing sales and marketing programs to achieve and exceed sales goals.

The Sales Manager is responsible for defining and executing growth strategies focused on the expansion of territories and growth of customer base across all sales channels: B2B, Wholesale, Restaurant Partners, and Direct to Consumer. Applicants with NYC food service sales experience are strongly encouraged to apply.

**Sales Manager Job Responsibilities:**

* Develops, executes, and measures a competitive sales strategy to efficiently grow sales across all trade channels.

* Presents and sells company products to current and potential clients.

* Services existing accounts, obtains orders, and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales outlets and other trade factors..

* Follows up on new leads and referrals to establish and maintain client relationships.

* Manages order flow and maintain updated price lists and product literature.

* Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses.

* Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, and merchandising techniques.

* Recommends changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.

* Manages and resolves customer feedback and complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management.

* Provides historical records by maintaining records on area and customer sales.

* Achieves the agreed upon monthly/quarterly/yearly profit goals.

* Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

**What we offer** The Sales Manager role is a full time position based on-site in NYC. The Sales Manager will be expected to travel to and from our restaurant, production kitchen, client locations, partner restaurants, and other locations in and around the tri-state area. In the future, national travel will also become an aspect of this role. We offer competitive pay (85-100K DOE + Sales Bonus) in a friendly work environment with lots of opportunity to grow with a startup stage company. **Sales Representative Qualifications/Skills:**

* Previous experience in a Sales position related to Food, preferably in the NYC area.

* Excellent communication and customer service skills

* Ability to set and meet ambitious sales goals

* Closing and negotiation skills

* Prospecting skills

* Self-confidence, positive attitude, honesty and integrity

* Product knowledge and enthusiasm for plant-based food

* Presentation skills

* Desire to build and maintain good client relationships

**Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:**

* BA/BS University degree with a concentration in marketing, promotions, advertising sales, or business administration preferred but not required

* Three to five years of industry sales experience. Foodservice experience is a plus.

* Familiarity with office software and phone systems
