Job Description:

Oversee all sales responsibilities in a mid to high profile territory of the U.S. for all theatrical releases from Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. This includes customer direct sales and booking functions, relationship building, managing accounts receivables, and marketplace analytics. Act as a mentor/guide to sales reps and sales coordinators. Need to be available some nights and weekends to visit theatres during opening weekends of our films.

Job Summary:

Oversee all sales responsibilities in a mid to high profile territory of the U.S. for all theatrical releases from Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. This includes customer direct sales and booking functions, relationship building, managing accounts receivables, and marketplace analytics. Act as a mentor/guide to sales reps and sales coordinators. Need to be available some nights and weekends to visit theatres during opening weekends of our films.

Responsibilities and Duties of the Role:

40%: Sales & Booking - Responsible for all communications and negotiations with our partners in exhibition to get all of our films booked into theatrical venues.

This includes but is not limited to securing bookings, negotiating number of screens and auditorium capacities we open on and holdover on each week, and securing IMAX and PLF screens in a very competitive environment.

30%: Accounts Receivables, Box office report & gross entry - Overseeing all accounting activity in a sales territory to make sure all accounts/theatres are current on film rental payments and box office reports…and making sure all line items for each title are reconciled accurately.

20% Sales area research and analytics - Keeping current on all theatre grossing capabilities, theatre pricing, construction/remodel updates, and genre specific performance for theatres in your area. Being able to expertly identify proper distribution looks for more limited release titles.

10% Assist with marketing material placement requests & theatre visits - Work closely with our Cinema Partnerships team on pre-release fan events, securing and monitoring lobby and on-screen marketing commitments, and visiting local area theatres to confirm placement of marketing materials.

Required Education, Experience/Skills/Training:

Basic Qualifications

  • Maintains professionalism under pressure.

  • Ability to prioritize activities, manage timelines and interface with diverse group of stakeholders.
  • Takes initiative and is a self-starter.
  • Multi-task by switching smoothly from one project or job to another.

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (MS, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and some SAP.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5 to 7 years experience in theatrical motions picture sales and distribution or theatrical exhibition.
  • Some marketing background and experience.

Education

  • MBA preferred
  • BA/BS or equivalent experience
The hiring range for this position in New York, NY is $98,700 to $120,500 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
