Our client, a grower, packer, and shipper of fresh specialty produce, is seeking a dynamic Sales Manager with expertise in the specialty produce industry to lead sales efforts with major retailers and wholesalers. You will develop strategies to drive revenue growth, manage key accounts, and build long-term partnerships with grocery chains and food service distributors. The role requires a deep understanding of produce market trends, supply chain management, and the complexities of selling fresh products like bok choy, cabbage, daikon, root vegetables, and specialty fruits.Key Responsibilities:Develop and execute sales strategies with national and regional retailers.Build and manage relationships with senior buyers at large retail chains.Lead contract negotiations and secure long-term deals.Stay informed on market trends and consumer preferences to optimize product offerings.Lead and mentor a high-performing sales team.Use data to forecast demand and ensure alignment between supply and sales.Qualifications:7+ years of sales experience in the produce industry, focusing on large retail chains.Proven experience leading a sales team and achieving targets.Strong knowledge of produce varieties, supply chain, and market trends.Excellent communication and negotiation skills.Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, or Agriculture preferred.
