This position is ideal for an individual with a background in sales within the alcoholic spirits industry, who is eager to drive sales growth and expand market share. You will be responsible for developing and implementing effective sales strategies and meeting sales targets. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the food and beverage industry.Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive sales growth in assigned territory and meet short and long-term business goals.
- Establish productive and professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts.
- On occasion will set up events in bars and restaurants to market product
- Negotiate and close agreements with large customers.
- Monitor and analyze performance metrics and suggest improvements.
- Use CRM software and other sales reporting tools to track sales performance and manage customer relationships.
- Handle customer inquiries, process orders, and address any product concerns promptly and professionally.
- Stay up-to-date with new product launches and ensure sales team members are on board.
- Travel frequently within the assigned territory to meet clients, attend conferences, and stay informed about the latest industry trends.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of proven work experience in sales within the alcoholic spirits industry.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close.
- Strong business sense and food and beverage industry expertise.
- Excellent mentoring, coaching, and people management skills.
- Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and sales reporting tools.
- Must have a valid driver's license and willingness to travel frequently within the assigned territory.
- Exceptional customer service skills and a commitment to addressing customer concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Strong negotiation skills and a proven track record of successfully closing sales deals.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field is preferred.
