Summary:

As a Sales Prospector, you will be responsible for generating new business opportunities through researching and identifying potential clients. You'll use a variety of tools and techniques to source leads including cold calling, email campaigns, and social media outreach. In this role, you'll need to have excellent communication skills, verbal and written, as you'll be responsible for building relationships with prospects and pitching our products or services. A successful Sales Prospector must be self-motivated, organized, have a strong work ethic and be familiar with CRM software to thrive in this challenging role. If you're a results-driven individual with a passion for sales, then this could be the perfect job for you.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and abilities:

  • Experience in sales research
  • Ability to prospect new clients
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Familiarity with CRM software, keeping customer data up to date and refreshed
  • Lead generation: finding qualified potential clients for sales outreach
  • Cold calling and cold e-mailing: making unsolicited sales calls and outreach to potential clients
  • Networking: building relationships with potential clients and industry professionals, as well as community and corporate groups in order to gain access to potential members
  • Communication: clear and concise verbal and written communication skills, and use of buyer personas to target and message prospects through phone, email and social media
  • Mastery of social tools such as LinkedIn, Facebook etc. in order to discover more information about prospects
  • Product knowledge: understanding the product or service being sold
  • Adaptability: ability to quickly adjust to changing situations or client needs
  • Time management: Efficiently managing and prioritizing tasks
  • Persistence: continuing sales efforts despite rejection or obstacles
