Maintain and develop relationships within defined strategic account base. Essential focus on inventory management and ROWC improvement. Grow EBITDA through addition of new programs and accounts within a defined strategic account base for products and services offered by Steel Technologies / TMF Center, including the production of ferrous parts on vertical, horizontal and lathe CNC, Fabrication, and other services. Maintain sales and solicit new business with existing strategic accounts assigned and develop new accounts. Meet or exceed revenue, profit and return on working capital targets for the strategic account base, as agreed to with management. Prioritize efforts and work with production, purchasing and the entire Steel Technologies / TMF Center team to meet or exceed corporate goals and objectives. Monitor competitive activity and trends within strategic account base and communicate to management. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work with management to set goals for strategic customer baseUnderstand Steel Technologies / TMF Center strengths and value propositionEngage in your education and development within the companyBecome the subject matter expert for all business available within assigned strategic customer base and keep good records to communicate information to managementProspect new business and solicit quotes for business that is in alignment with our value propositionRespond to quotations in a timely manner using the company standard quoting formatConvert quotations into earned businessMaintain existing business, improving profit where possible, and grow within existing accountsAccountable for monthly forecasts and for working with scheduling and customers to improve forecast accuracyIn conjunction with inside sales, purchasing, business planning and management, manage customer inventory and accounts receivable to meet agreed return on working capital targetsEnsure pricing updates are clearly communicated to internal team and customers as appropriate in a timely mannerMonitor daily sales report to ensure correct pricing is applied and profit targets are metWork with quality and inside sales to evaluate and expedite customer claimsMake in-person calls and entertain customers appropriately to grow and maintain relationshipsProvide market intelligence to customers and become a trusted partnerKnow the customers business and move up the value chain within the customerOther duties as assignedKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
