Position Summary: The Sales Assistant serves as a multifaceted support role, focused on enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the sales team. This position is responsible for a range of tasks including administrative support to assigned Sales Teams, prompt and effective customer communication, and diligent order management. The role is critical in establishing and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction, ensuring accurate order processing, and facilitating seamless internal communication between sales and operations teams. Utilizing various systems such as Microsoft Dynamics Business Central, the Sales Assistant contributes to the overall success and smooth functioning of the sales process within the assigned territory. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Support assigned sales representatives with various administrative tasks, including the coordination of customer requirements such as marketing materials, quotes, and product samples. Efficiently handle incoming customer calls, assess customer needs, and offer solutions to ensure an outstanding customer experience. Oversee the entry and processing of customer orders, ensuring meticulous follow-through and follow-up based on customer requirements. Establish and nurture long-term, trust-based relationships through consistent, open, and interactive communication. Furnish customers with accurate, reliable, and comprehensive information using the appropriate tools and methods. Address customer complaints by providing viable solutions and alternatives within established time frames, ensuring prompt follow-up for resolution. Keep customer databases up to date by regularly updating account details. Perform thorough research as required. Accurately input sales orders. Facilitate seamless communication with the sales & operations teams to deliver efficient customer service. Utilize the company's ERP system to locate product and shipping details, ensuring accuracy for orders. Requirements: Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Up to 25% travel Experience: High School diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred. Minimum of two years (2) years of experience in a customer service position required. Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening Familiar with CRM systems and practices Customer Focused with strong client-facing and verbal/written communication skills. Problem Solving and Analysis along with the ability to maintain calm under pressure. A thorough knowledge and understanding of the company and products offered. Communication – strong customer focus approach with proven and excellent verbal/written communication skills. Time Management – Intermediate to Advanced troubleshooting/multi-tasking skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Products and Company ERP systems Prior experience utilizing Microsoft Office software to prepare correspondence, develop reports and enter customer data.
