Job Description:

Empire Distributors a Leading Beverage Distributor is now hiring an On-Premises Sales Representative. This individual will represent Empire Distributors and its brands to On-Premise establishments. Individual will sell fine wine, spirits, and non-alcoholic products to taverns, hotels, restaurants, cocktail lounges, and bowling alleys for wholesale distributor. This position services East Memphis and surrounding areas.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

* Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from newspapers, business directories, industry ads, trade shows, Internet web sites, and other sources.

* Prepares monthly planning and goals.

* Conducts sales reviews with accounts.

* Maintains existing accounts and provides customer service in accordance with the Company's customer service philosophy and standards.

* Rotates product, ensuring ultimate freshness.

* Schedules product promotions and wine and spirit dinners.

* Travels through assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders, or talks with customers at the On-Premise place of business or by telephone. Sustains the minimum number of sales calls as determined by the Vice President. Working a firm daily itinerary is mandatory.

* Distributed and displays various Point of Sale items.

* Quotes prices and prepares sales orders.

* Estimates dates of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of delivery schedules.

* Prepares reports of business transactions. Maintains customer management profile.

* Works with Administrative and Operations teammates to assure the best service is provided to customers.

* Coordinates customer training.

* Enters new customer data and other sales data for current customers into computer database through customer service.

* Develops and maintains relationships with purchasing contacts.

* Investigates and resolves general customer problems.

* Attends trade shows and special events to represent the Company, and its brands.

* Reviews account receivable reports and maintains collections from assigned accounts according to Company policies and TN ABC laws.

* Other duties may be assigned.

Education and/or Experience

Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Valid Driver License

Automobile Insurance - 100/300/50 minimum limits of liability

Must be able to obtain a TN ABC Wholesaler's Employee Permit

Computer skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet software; Microsoft Word-Word Processing software; Explorer Internet software; Order processing systems, Microsoft Outlook and PowerPoint; and SAP Business Software..
