Everest Stone is a Direct Importer based in Dallas that specializes in importing and distributing surface products for construction. We buy surface products like granite and quartz from around the world, and then distribute the product from our yards in Dallas & Houston to fabricators around the central United States. The primary application of our product is countertops.

Everest Stone is part of a larger family Private Equity portfolio that gives us strong support and sharing of resources. Everest Stone currently constitutes about 40mm of annual sales. Our growth goal is to open up 5 additional large hubs around the country in the next 10 years, to become a national player.

Job Description – Territory Sales Rep.

We are currently looking to fill two (2) spots for two different existing territories. Each territory has a strong customer base and is yielding $200,000 - $300,000 in monthly sales.

South Territory – Our south Territory consists of a handful of strategic Dallas Accounts, Waco, Temple, Austin, San Antonio, Corpus Christi, and everything else in between. This area is easily serviced by our locations in Dallas and Houston. This territory contains Austin which is the #7 new housing market in the country.

North Territory – Our north Territory consists of a handful of strategic Dallas Accounts, Oklahoma, Kansas, Western Missouri, Nebraska, and the Dakotas. This area is large and in many areas has weak competition allowing for strong sales.

Sales Tasks

· Traveling about 9 days a month to the sales territory.

· Converting new customers in the territory.

· Taking orders from existing customers.

· Collecting Payments from customers.

· Organizing truck and delivery routes.

· Analyzing product in stock, and sending out promotions and product offerings to customers.

· Creating Sales Orders and choosing the product to be loaded.

· Quality Control of material before shipping.

· Taking part in monthly sales meetings.

· Suggesting new products, finding market trends.

· Creating unique marketing techniques to grow the territory.

Everest Stone Competitive Advantage

A natural stone or quartz slab is a raw product much like lumber or tile. The customers we sell to (the fabricators) want the lowest per square foot price possible, while maintaining a high quality product which produces a high yield.

Our program is a wholesale operation, which prefaces high volume and low margin (like Sams Club). Instead of selling slabs to homeowners in small amounts in a retail setting, we sell primarily in truckload bulk. We have a very low overhead, which allows us to work on a lower margin then our competition.

Currently we are viewed as one of the dominant wholesale distributors in the Southern USA. Our pricing is so good that it has diluted the market. We have pushed many of our competitors out of the wholesale segment. We have the most competitive wholesale slab program, which makes it easy for us to get sales and increase market share.

We also currently sell to a large area that goes west to New Mexico, North to South Dakota, and East to Georgia. We are easily able to sell out of state and stone can easily be shipped across the country.

Because we are family owned, we are also more nimble and easy to deal with. We are able to make fast decisions, and create customized programs for our customers that our large more rigid competitors are not able to accommodate.

Natural Stone/Quartz Slab Sales Cycle

The sale of stone surface products is fairly easy compared to other types of Sales Jobs. We sell directly to fabricators, or the contractors who cut and install the product. This means we have a very specific and easily identifiable and specific customer base. Prospecting these customers is fairly simple. Fabricators buy stone slabs on a daily/weekly basis. Often times we can convert a new customer on the first visit, or within a few months. Because they are buying the product we sell so frequently, the sales cycle for our industry is very quick. Most of our sales reps have a book of customers between 50-100 that buy weekly-monthly which creates an annuity that builds up over time like a snow ball rolling down a mountain.

Because the customers already buy our product, we are not making a “why you should buy granite sale”. Instead we are making a “why you would buy your granite from US sale”.

Salary

Salary is commission only, with a 3 month guaranteed base as the sales rep is trained. This base is judged on sales history and ability to demonstrate creation of value in previous sales roles. The more historical value you have created, the more we will be willing to give for a 6 month base.

· Compensation is an uncapped commission 15% of gross margin produced from sales.

Monthly Conservative Sales Example (Average).

$200,000 of sales, at a 30% Gross Margin.

$9,000 monthly paycheck.

Monthly Impressive Sales Example (above average by 10-20%)

$300,000 of sales, at a 30% Gross Margin

$13,500 monthly paycheck.

Our sales team has a strong history of making $125,000 - $250,000.

What We are looking for.

We are looking for a proven sales professional who can take our program and dominate in their territory gaining a majority market share. The below traits are important.

· Strong Work Ethic, willingness to travel, desire to work more than 50 hours a week especially for the first year.

· Must be able to use your time effectively. Sales Reps generally plan their own days and schedules so you need to be an effective time organizer.

· Strong Positive Attitude.

· Speaking Spanish is positive. If you are able to speak Spanish make sure it stands out on your resume.

· Strong Organization, with ability to use Sales CRM and organize clients and their buying preferences.

· Very Articulate/Charismatic, able to explain to customers our strengths.

· Impeccable customer service and ability to treat customers like family, and respond to their needs very quickly.

· Must have basic computer skills and basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook.

· Must be able to be taught and retain basic knowledge of geology.

· Must be incredibly confident.

· Must have a proven sales track record which includes converting customers, increasing sales and margin, and sustaining relationships long term.

· Must be able to work well with our current sales team of 10. Team mentality and team goals are very important.

· Must not make excuses, and instead find solutions.

· Must be able to facilitate the loading of orders in our outdoor yard. Must not be afraid of heat, cold, wet, or actual hard work.
