Penn MachinerySales Representative - Parts & Service Territory: Long Island Pay: Base plus uncapped commission (potential up to $150,000 + depending on performance) Territory: Long Island (This is an outside sales position with company vehicle) Product: You would be selling Caterpillar Parts and Service throughout our Long Island territory Benefits:Medical/dental/vision insurance401(k) with company matchCompany provided cell phone, laptop, and vehicleHolidays & competitive PTOKey Qualifications:Must have a clean & valid driver's license, (this position requires regular travel throughout territory)3+ years of related industry experience Knowledge of heavy equipment / construction industry helpful Experience with a CRM system Experience working in an outside sales/consultant type positionExcellent communication (both written and oral) and organizational skillsExperience in delivering presentationsComputer proficient, including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) ResponsibilitiesContribute to the Parts and Service Departments overall profitability by promoting department offerings that lead to increasing part products and service labor market shares.Generate and submit written quotes developed from machine inspectionsPromote and utilize Caterpillar and Company merchandising programsAssist in the development of new Parts and Service merchandising programsGenerate new sales opportunities by identifying new target accountsEnhance Customer and Company relationships by contributing to the improvement of the customers quality of experience with the company.Assist customer in achieving the lowest operating cost by suggesting total repair solutionParticipate/contribute to CAT Care meetings and open housesPerform customer training by utilizing key sales support materialsCoordinate shop repairs with company and customer personnelMediate customer and departmental disputesEffectively manage territorial developments by communicating information between the Company, Caterpillar and the Customer.Communicate machine sales leads to the sales departmentMaintain timely equipment population records by scheduling timely customer sales callsMaintain knowledge of competitive pricing and offeringsMaintain knowledge of local business projects and trendsSubmit lost sales reportsQualificationsMust have a clean & valid driver's license, (this position requires regular travel throughout territory)3+ years of related industry experience Knowledge of heavy equipment / construction industry helpful Experience with a CRM system Experience working in an outside sales/consultant type positionExcellent communication (both written and oral) and organizational skillsExperience in delivering presentationsComputer proficient, including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Physical Requirements:Standing and/or sitting for prolonged periods of timeHand coordination (typing and writing)Occasional forward bending and reachingOccasional walking and climbing stairsCarrying (up to 20lbs.)Reasonable accommodations made as needed.
