Description

Uses proven sales tools and techniques to achieve sales quotas on the assigned route. This position will pre-sell the product to assigned off-premise accounts in a designated area. Silver Eagle Distributors Houston, LLC. is the nation's largest Anheuser-Busch distributor and second-largest overall beer distributor.

Job Duties:

* Takes inventory at assigned accounts and makes recommendations of each account's product needs and to maintain properly stocked inventory levels.

* Sells in displays, new products, and packages, draught placements, shelf facings, POS, and price points.

* Follows corporate Sales and Merchandising Standards guidelines to ensure the merchandising of all corporate products including restocking to avoid out-of-stock, making minor legal space adjustments, building displays, installing, placing, and providing P.O.S. and pricing product as allowed by retailers.

* Completes all administrative duties: Mobility route book entries, syncing on a timely basis as specified by the company, and other duties specified by company management.

* Notifies Area Sales Manager of all pertinent changes in the retail trade to include: file maintenance, license updates, route scheduling, competitive activity, and other requirements required by management.

* Ability to be flexible in work hours adapt to frequent changes in work assignments, equipment, and routes and the number of SKUs.

* Reaches account level objectives by using sales training to close sales solicitation of displays, new products, and packages, draught placements, shelf facings, POS, and price points.

* Provides effective communication with all Sales personnel to ensure closure of sales, maintaining good customer relations, and a decisive competitive edge in order to maximize sales goals.

* Follows and enforces the Anheuser Busch equity agreement and other supplier contract Code Date policies.

* Develops and maintains working knowledge of all Silver Eagle suppliers and products.

* Merchandises and rotates ice bins, coolers, shelves, and displays where applicable.

* Responsible for the collection of payment in the form of check, money order, or invoice in accordance with TABC laws and SED policies.

* Ensures customer satisfaction by being friendly, courteous, respectful, and professional at all times.

* May occasionally be asked to work special events which include preparation of equipment, delivery of equipment and/or product, working the event, closing the event with correct check-in and documentation, cleaning, and return of dispensing equipment.

* Adheres to all safety policies and practices, all Company policies, rules, and government regulations.

* Must correct or immediately report to supervisor any unethical behavior, violations of code of conduct, or safety hazards.

* May be asked to pull a Sales Rep route as needed.

* Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

* High school diploma or GED.

* Two (2) year directly related sales and marketing experience preferred.

* Prior grocery/convenience store and/or consumer products experience a strong plus.

* Excellent communication and organizational skills.

* Must have a cell phone with data capability that can be used for work.

* Able to obtain and maintain T.A.B.C. permits.

* Able to obtain and maintain Class A-CDL Driving record within MVR policy guidelines. - No license revocation, suspension, DUI/DWI, careless or reckless driving.

* Valid Texas Driver's License.

* Ability to operate a two or four-wheel dolly.

* Must be trained and certified in pallet/straddle jack, and lift gate operation.

* Must handle alcohol and work within T.A.B.C Guidelines.

* Able to frequently and repetitively lift packages up to 38 lbs, push 300 lbs dolly loads, lift and handle kegs of 161 lbs and push, pull and handle 355 lb loaded wheelers.

Physical Requirements:

* Talk, hear, and see (including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus).

* Continuous standing and walking, up to 8 hours at a time.

* Continuous lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling 20-161 lbs.

* Ability to operate a two or four-wheel dolly.

* Must be able to push 300 lbs dolly load and move 161 lbs kegs.

* Must be able to operate a forklift and a pallet jack safely and efficiently.

* Frequent driving distances between 0-75 miles in one sitting.

* Frequent climbing, pushing, pulling, and maneuvering dolly, hand truck, bay roll-up doors, straps, curb ramps, truck doors, boxes, cases, kegs, truck gear shift.

* Must be able to pass DOT Physical and Drug Screen.

Working Conditions:

* All-weather conditions (indoor & outdoor) including high temperatures, cool/cold temperatures, wind, ice, humidity, rain, fog, hail, sleet, and snow.

* Daylight, twilight, evening, and dark lighting conditions.

* Noise, vibration, dust, dirt, airborne particles, fumes.

* Work hours will vary daily due to business needs.
