Job Description:

SALES SPECIALIST

Hansen Furniture Appliance Mattress, part of the Bitter Neumann Family, is seeking a results-driven, detail-oriented candidate for our Sales Specialist position to assist customers with their purchases. The sales specialist is responsible for all sales activities, from assessing customer needs to closing the sale, and providing follow-through to ensure a positive customer experience. The successful candidates must be able to meet customers' expectations and achieve sales goals. The sales specialist must be reliable, have personal initiative and drive, and be able to contribute critical thinking, problem-solving and conflict resolutions skills. Previous sales experience is preferred, and computer knowledge and typing skills are required, as iPads are used to write sales orders and work with online customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales and customer service.
  • Actively seek out customers in store.
  • Assess customers' needs, provide assistance and information on product features, and recommend appropriate products based on individual requirements.
  • Respond to and convert internet-generated sales leads, quote requests and orders.
  • Remain knowledgeable on products offered and discuss available options with online and offline customers.
  • Advise customers on care and utilization of products. Demonstrate live how products work.
  • Build productive trust relationships with customers.
  • Cross sell products.
  • Accurately quote prices, delivery dates and warranties.
  • Create and update customer records.
  • Schedule deliveries (knowledge of Waupaca area geography a plus).
  • Team up with co-workers to ensure proper customer service.
  • Assist in displaying merchandise and maintain sales floor to ensure it is always in presentable condition.

Requirements:

  • 1+ year of retail sales experience preferred, but will train the right candidate
  • Track record of over-achieving sales quota preferred
  • Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices
  • Working knowledge of customer and market dynamics and requirements
  • Customer service focused
  • High school diploma
  • Reliable, punctual

Benefits:

This position includes hourly pay plus monthly and quarterly bonuses based on sales performance. The schedule is 4 weekdays and Saturday every week.
