Job Description:
SALES SUPPORT SPECIALISTPOSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for supporting customer requirements regarding service and production-related activities and ensuring prompt and accurate information within our MRP System. This position will work closely with the Vice President of Sales and Project Managers to ensure customer satisfaction. Team player in maintaining or increasing overall department metrics and providing direct service to both internal and external customers. This position will report directly to the Vice President of Sales & Marketing. Essential Responsibilities:
  • The ability to collaborate with internal and external participants to achieve and maintain customer expectations;
  • Entry of Bills of Materials and Routings to ensure accurate manufacturing data and timelines;
  • Evaluate and respond to internally and externally provided delivery status information, requirements and requests;
  • Disseminate customer drawings and specifications to coordinate quotations within the appropriate departments (machining, fabrication & assembly);
  • Provide customer service support to the organization by obtaining, analyzing, and verifying the accuracy of order information within tight timelines;
  • Process Customer Purchase Orders;
  • Compile and distribute department NPD metric results;
  • NPD documentation peer reviews;
  • Field service inquiries from customers;
  • Follow up on customer quotations for feedback and internally document in the ERP system;
  • Overall support of CMC's Sales team & customer service efforts;
  • Assist with Marketing efforts;
  • Adhere to Employee's responsibilities outlined in Cygnus' Health & Safety Policy.
Additional Skills & Responsibilities:
  • Associates degree from a two-year college or technical school or equivalent required;
  • 3-5 years of experience in a sales or customer service capacity within a manufacturing environment preferred;
  • Ability to interpret & comprehend manufacturing drawings & bills of material;
  • Previous experience using an ERP system (preferably Made-2-Manage);
  • Strong spatial aptitude;
  • Strong communication and customer service skills;
  • Ability to multitask with accuracy, prioritize effectively, and adapt to changes in priorities efficiently;
  • Proven experience in a customer service or manufacturing support role within a production environment;
  • Possess excellent written and interpersonal skills;
  • Presents in a polished and professional manner;
  • Ability to utilize multiple word-processing and database applications including MS Office Suite;
  • Must be capable of working independently under minimal supervision and with others in a positive and collaborative manner;
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing shop environment (including hot, cold, and/or noisy areas);
  • Frequent hand-to-finger, handle, feel objects & tools, walking, sitting, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, talking, and hearing;
  • Physically submit to periodic drug tests (employment is contingent upon favorable results)
